The librarian chooses the book to discuss.  We have read some memorable books over the last year for instance ‘The Bookbinder of Jericho’ by Pip Williams – a memorable story about the people that worked for the Oxford Union Press and how their lives intertwined against the backdrop of the Ist World War. Recent reads include – ‘Apples never fall’ by Liane Moriarty, ‘My brilliant friend’ by Elena Ferrante and ‘The picture of Dorian Gray’ by Oscar Wilde.

The library has a wide collection of audiobooks and e-books which are all available on Wirral Libraries online store called Borrowbox. The library staff are very accommodating and will advise you or offer help when needed with audio- and e-books. If you want more information, please see Lorna, our organiser, who is usually on the desk on the day of our meetings.

We have space for new members. Why not come along and try it out?
